Join us for the following Worker Protection Standards Classes!
Spanish language Worker Protection Standards Training Tuesday June 23rd 8am-11am in Hood River (exact location will be determined by the number of participants). The course will be free and taught by Vanessa Vassilaros from the Oregon Department of Agriculture. Attendees will be provided certificates of compliance for themselves and their employer. Doughnuts, coffee, snacks, and water provided. 3 core credits available for Oregon!

She will confirm with you and give you the training location in Hood River when she has a better sense of the number of participants. Habrá una capacitación de último momento en español sobre las Normas de Protección para Trabajadores (Worker Protection Standards) el martes el día 23 de junio de 8:00 a.m. a 11:00 a.m. en Hood River (la ubicación se determinará según el número de participantes). La capacitación será impartida por Vanessa Vassilaros del Departamento de Agricultura de Oregón. The “Train the Trainer” is a 2-day course taught in English by trainers from the Washington State Department of Agriculture, Oregon Department of Agriculture, and Oregon State University. This is a hands-on and interactive course designed to train agricultural employers, farm managers, supervisors and individuals on how to successfully administer in-house Worker Protection Standards and safety training of agricultural workers and pesticide handlers. It provides individuals with the knowledge and tools to conduct practical pesticide safety training that complies with state and federal requirements of the EPA’s Worker Protection Standard (WPS).
