This course will prepare participants to take the Oregon Private Pesticide Applicators License exam. Following two days of course instruction, on the third day, participants will take the Oregon exam onsite at the OSU Extension Office.

**Please pick up your copy of “National Pesticide Applicator Certification Core Manual” and “Oregon Addendum” to prepare for the class. Copies are available for free at the HR SWCD office 3007 Experiment Station Dr., Hood River or contact Kris for assistance, we will happily mail you a copy if you are coming from far away!

This course will be instructed by David Spink from Chemeketa Community College

This pre-certification training program will help learners be more prepared, efficient, and successful in passing the pesticide applicator certification exam in Oregon. Topics include laws/regulations, integrated pest management, personal protective equipment , reducing drift, pesticide label comprehension, protecting waterways, pesticide transport, storage, disposal, and more. Instructors will lead the class through summaries, exercises, and examples from the National Pesticide Applicator Certification Core Manual and the Oregon Addendum.

Each participant will need to bring:
· An official government issued identification card with a picture
· A mailing address where they want their license sent (if they pass the exam)
· A social security number is NOT required but if you have one, please bring it
Employer or company name

*You must be at least 18 years of age to apply for a license and take the exam
Coffee, pastries, lunch, beverages, and snacks will be provided daily.
Course fees include the cost of the exam, preparation materials, course materials and food.
