Star Flower Solomon Seal, also known as Starry False Lily of the Valley, is a great choice for woodland gardens. It prefers part to mostly shaded areas with moist soils rich in organic matter. Beautiful blue-green leaves emerge on arching stems in the early Spring. From April through August, dainty star shaped white flowers bloom and mature into dark fruits by the Fall. This plant spreads nicely by rhizomes, eventually forming a large colony attracting a variety of wildlife.
